BASIC 1 LABORATORY
Dear students,
May you receive warm greetings from the coordinator, Roberto Alcantara, and best wishes on behalf of all our teachers at CJC English Immersion Program, and our staff at the Direction of Foreing Languages (DLE) at MESCYT.
The purpose of this note is to make you aware of the importance of Laboratory Practice in our program. When the English Immersion Program was founded in 2005, our staff back then included Computer Lab Practice in the regular operations of the program in most centers. In 2020, due to the pandemic and some changes on our administration, computer labs in some centers stopped operations. CJC is one of those centers. However, the need for computer lab practice is still a must in our program in order to achieve our learning objectives and foster the development communictive competences that are vital for success in the academic and job or entrepreneurial industries nowadays.
Taking the facts above into consideration, I've decided, as the coordinator designated to this center, to provide onliine practice that would make out for the lack computer lab in our center. This practice will be available on this blog for all the students to complete within the dates indicated. Students have to report to their teachers the complition of each final task which will consist of a quiz. The student should complete the practice before the quiz. If a student completes the quiz without dong the practice, he/she could fail the quiz. In case of failing / flunking a quiz, (minimum score: 70), the student can try the quiz one more time, or do it repeatedly until he/she gets a high score.
